Steering wheel audio controls on an aftermarket radio?

I am thinking about installing an aftermarket radio in my truck (stock is starting to go on me) and I am wondering if the steering wheel audio controls will still work. Thanks

Crutchfield sells modules to interface with the factory steering wheel controls. http://www.crutchfield.com/g_118900/...rs.html?tp=476

I just installed a pioneer 8400, and using the PAC worked for me. You can find in on amazon for half the price of what crutchfield has it for.
