Sliding Rear Window Rattle!

I have a 2006 with the sliding rear window. Most of the time while driving the rear window latch rattles. The latch is not loose or anything it just rattles. Smooth pavement, rough pavement it rattles. If I just crack the window it stops. I have no idea what is causing it. Anybody have this problem? And in the winter time when the truck is cold, the door panels rattle too. It drives me crazy. When the interior warms up it stops. In the summer don't rattle at all. Anybody?

I get that occasionally. About 2 times a year I spray some silicone at the rub areas and wipe excess with a rag. The window will sometimes get the edges smeared but a little more wiping takes care of it. So far so good, I really hate that squeek (rattle) too .

Mine rattled. Smeared silicon grease on the rubber seals and tracks and the rattle never returned.

You can get silicone grease/spray from an autoparts store. Most hardware places will have at least the spray.

I have a power rear sliding window on my 06. The latch or whatever fell off while it was under warranty and Chrysler replaced the entire rear window. The seals for the new sliding window are more narrow than the the original ones. Maybe there was a design change because of the rattle you are talking about.

Get that man a beer!

If silicone oil works you will have saved my already thin sanity.

My exhaust is loud enough and my hearing poor enough that most rattles dont bother me...that and I have to remember that it is a Dodge. I had on 08Hemi I bought brand new last year, once it got a little cold, the doors squeaked like hell...drove me batty, took it to the dealership on a warm day and of course they couldnt recreate the noise.

Unhappy Still going....

I have the same rattle in rear sliding window.. I've tried the silicone but nothing helps....If I crack the window just a tiny bit, it stops. I think it may be the cable that pulls the window open and closed that is causing the noise. Anyone else have this and fixed this? Help please! I'm losing my mind!
