Sirius Problems

I have a lifetime subscription to sirius and it stopped working the other day.It does not show " no signal " It is stuck on ch.184 and I cant change it. It also does not play anything,no volume. It was originally stuck on ch.6 I then unplugged the power to it and it went to 184. I called sirius and they said the signal is being sent. Anybody help me out with this. Thanks

As far as I know, if you can receive channel 184 your receiver is working and its an issue on their end. However the no volume thing is strange. If possible try to swap the unit out with a buddies to make sure that its working properly.

Not sure how much a replacement tuner from Dodge is, but Id be willing to bet its more expensive than a decent aftermarket radio and tuner.

Had the same issue with the no volume and channel 184 on my '06. Went online with Sirius and had them send a reactivation signal and it has worked since. Your radio has to be on channel 184 and receiving a clear signal to be reactivated (ie: can't be parked in the garage). I would leave it on for a half hour or so. Then check to see if you can change channels.
Good luck

Sirius tried to reactivate the sysytem, however,it was stuck on Ch. 6 at the time.I then pulled the power from the unit and it defaulted back to Ch. 184.I will call sirius again now and try reactivating on 184.Thanks

Ok they tried to reactivate the system and had no success. How can I tell if the problem is in the sirius receiver or my radio head unit.

I had a similar problem, only had the dealer take care of it since it was under warranty (never tried calling SIRIUS).

First they replaced the head unit, didn't do a thing...exact same issue with the new head unit.

They then replaced the satellite tuner, that did the trick.

Well I disconnected the battery for 30 min and tried that with no results. So I ordered the receiver from dodge parts online for $170 shipped. I'll keep you informed.
