Shocks
Are the Bilsteins really worth the money ?? I am just wondering if I would really be able to tell much of a difference in ride quality if I replaced my factory shocks with the belsteins ??
thanks

Why is it that people sell Bistein's for 2003's through 2006's HD2500 and 3500's yet Bilstein says they don't have a shock for these trucks yet? Seem's like people are putting shocks on trucks that don't belong.

I think the issue is that the front Bilsteins for our trucks are 2" longer than stock. So they may only be good if you have a leveling kit?
I know I read on KORE's website (and even saw it again in Geno's Garage magazine) that they (kore) claimed to have worked with Bilstein on developing shocks for the diesel Rams (to be included in their suspension kits). So I'm assuming that's the reason they are 2" longer than stock.

I am in the woods alot with my truck, and now I have bought a slide in camper and NEED shocks, the concern I have with the Bilsteins are they going to burn up due to all the wash boarded road I am on? There was some issues I though about that, correct me if I am wrong. Then again I don't know if the 9000 are the way to go either. Which way do I go, which way do i go? I know there is an answer it's just $$$, but really would like to do it right the first time ya know..with out going to the fox or kore route..Thanks "D"
The Bilstein's that are available, today, were actually built for the 1/2 ton, 1500 trucks. They do fit the 2500 & 3500's, also. Many people are using them, successfully.
Bilstein is supposed to have a shock dedicated to the 2500/3500's, in the future. They have been saying this for years, now.
I was told that the 2500/3500's have been put on the "back burner" because there already is a product that will work, today. If they get some extra time, they will work on the 2500/3500 shocks. A lot of their time is spent on developing products for all the new vehicles that come out each year. So, our needs & wants are not a priority, to them.
