265s to 285s

HI all,

I''m an old member but been off the forums for over a decade. But I am back in a Cummins so I am always glad to have this forum as a resource.

I now have an 06 4x4 with the auto tranny and 157K miles - all stock. I mainly use the truck for pulling cars on my flatbed trailer. It has 265/70/17 Michelins now and they have worn beautifully and last a long time. Just for appearance sake, it would be fun to get a more aggressive tread and even a little bigger tire under there. But my RPMs are already low enough and I don''t want to strain my transmission in any way. Or hurt my towing perfromance. Should I just stick with what I know has worked for me or is it worth the upsize? Thank you all.
