Roaring when brakes pushed

Roaring when brakes pushed
I have a 2007 DRW Dodge. I just had work done at a local shop. I needed a new u joint up front, new wheel bearing up front, and caliper cleaned because I guess it was causing pads to drag on rotor. Since I have got it back I get an occasional knocking sensation, roaring when I apply the brakes at highway speed, and a shutter from brakes when about to stop it shakes the whole truck.

hmm, not sure how the ABS sensor would cause the truck to shake. It shouldn't even cause a noise, if it was pushed to far out against the exciter wheel it would push back in once you started moving.
What U-joint was replaced on the front? The caliper could still be hanging up. Could you jack up the side that had the work done and spin the wheel?

It may be worthwhile taking it back in and having them look over what they did, then again maybe it wouldn't. They might of destroyed something else in the process of taking out the bearing.

Just a plain ole guy
That's why they had to beat it apart. Those are all sealed and pressed together and aren't intended to be pieced back like that. My bet would be they beat your hub all up.

I haven't had to change my bearings yet, but looking at the parts diagram, they appear to be just sealed bearings pressed into the hub. A garage with the right tools should be able to simply press them out and press in new ones. Maybe not. Like I said, I haven't yet tried to order them. I think I'd be looking for a new garage, myself.
As for cleaning a caliper that was not functioning properly, it would probably have been cheaper to buy a new (remanufactured) one from Autozone than to pay for the labor to have them clean the old one. Mechanics are getting $80-90/hr now.
Stike two. I would definitely be looking for a new garage.
