What type of wheels do you have? If you have the right BS you shouldn't have any problems running 35s on a leveled truck. I have a leveling kit and 35's on my truck.... the spacers cost $69 and the Bilsteins cost about $150, that's a whole lot cheaper than a 4" lift. And I think leveled trucks look better!

I don't think you need new shocks, but you might lose some of the droop if you run the stock ones. I was told by a lot of people to run the Bilsteins, so I just bought them and installed the spacers and shocks at the same time... might as well do it while you have the front end apart.
I don't remember the truck riding or driving any different with the Bilsteins, but it's been about 40,000 miles since I installed them!

My truck has a 2" lift on the front (see my gallery). I didn't even know it until I compared my front with another truck. I ended up buying the Bilstein blue/yellows before I was aware I had a lift on the truck. They seem to be surviving, but I don't do any off-roading and I have a very heavy-duty front bumper. As long as I don't over-extend them I'll be ok.

The 5100s (the silver/blue ones) are made for moderate/heavy off-roading and are made to accomodate the 2" lift. The blue/yellows are made for highway and are adequate for mild off-road, but they are not made for the lift.

I have researched, purchased, and used both kinds on different trucks. What I have said above is the gospel truth according to Bilstein.

By the way, take a look at Dynastar for the 2" lift. I like theirs the best.
