Well ive been noticing for a while now that i have two of the imfamous problems with my truck. I have been seeing some white smoke and rough idle on cold start up, and i have the A/C blender door problem. The white smoke and rough idle only last for about 30 seconds and it goes away and runs fine. This only happens on cold start-ups. Then the A/C sucks on this thing. Recirc is ok it deffinately dont blow what it should i dont think. When you take it off of recirc it dont blow anything almost. You can barely feel it. On another note i test drove a 08 6.7 yesterday and it dosent smoke but it did run rough for the first 30 seconds. One last Question will the exhaust and Edge affect my warrenty? Sorry for the long post.

 

You haven't had the leaky power stearing box yet or the coolant leak bewteen motor and firewall. . . .Just wanted to give you something to look forward to.

IMO. . I think the Edge will raise the warranty eyebrows a bit.

 

Yeah thats what im thinking too. Well i got an appointment on Monday morning with the local dealer. They said they would check the edge and if it voids the warranty then they woudnt touch it. If it does void my warranty where would the best place to get a set of replacement injectors?

 

I'd be pulling the Edge out/off the truck before I took it to a dealership. Just plain stupid to take a truck in with something like that connected.

There are tons of guys driving stock trucks who have had the infamous white smoke and injector issues. Almost seems as though this is a factory problem with the CR and injectors. I would not give them any excuse to get out of their flaws and not fix my truck.

Yeah, take the Edge off before taking to dealer. As for the exhaust, that is a separate warranty, covered under emissions. As for problems with the 2006, the only issue I has was the AC plenum door, which the dealer fixed under warranty. I have not had any other issues as of yet, just went onver 45k, had truck since Oct 2006.

 

I really hate to take it to the dealer because it runs so well. It gets good fuel millage as well. I will see what it does in the morning. Also next fill up ill be putting some Power Service and 2 stroke oil.

 

if you're under warranty, i would have the dealer test your injectors. i had the same problems as you, convinced myself that all i needed was the cold start/tsb/re-flash and some power service, and eventually had 2 injectors replaced that were leaking down overnight. injectors are not cheap, so i'd let dodge foot the bill.

 

its either take it off or pay about 600 per injector. and yes they will void the warranty for the edge without even blinking an eye

 

Hmm im thinking some flux 1s here.
