painting ST grille?

Can you paint a ST grille to match the body color? Has anyone done it?
Also maybe part of the bumper, sort of like a Sport. I would take it to a professional, not whip out the rattle cans.

I bet you can paint it with no problems.
call your auto body shop and ask them about it.

It will be like painting a piece of rubber, which is what the grill of an'06 is like. Not sure about your year. My previous '04 had a more plastic like grill and I painted it black with Krylon for plastic..... nothing wrong with spray cans on something like a grill.

Here's one more example. Really came out nice when compared to the "before" pictures.

Yeah, I pulled it and knocked out the honeycomb grill. I took them the fuel door for a color sample and they had it back to me the very next day for $140. I'm really happy with the change in looks.

I just did this same thing as well. I bought one off eBay and had it painted along with the fender flares. The next thing to do is to get rid of the crumbled rear bumper...

How she is now... More of a utilitarian look.

A few months ago with all the "bling", I grew tierd of chrome so off it went.

Thanks guys, I'm terrible with rattle cans, nothing against doing it that way, I just suck at it!
RatherBeMuddin that's exactly what I want, how did you do the chrome on the bumper?

I found a red sport cover on eBay and installed it over it. If you do the same, do yourself a favor and buy one with the sport bracketry. It will fit over the chrome obviously, but I did a decent amount of trimming with a plasma cutter. I hate to think what would happen if I smacked a dear at 70...

All 4 flares, and the grill 125.00 to paint at a body shop in my hometown. I tried the rattle can from paintscratch.com and it looked like crap, i'm not really that strong of a painter and it deffinetly showed.
