One more TIPM ? for the Newbie
I can'r find the Modulite model # for 06 2500 Mega 4x4....will the 3500 work? I saw something similar on eTrailer but it looked to just be the connectors and a flat 4.
The issue is of course no left brake/turn signal on the trailer but the truck works fine.
Thanks for your suggestions.

clarify what you are looking for. TIPM stands for Total Integrated Power Module (distribution box with all your fuses under the hood) and not available at any trailer supply shop.

The factory trailer wiring harness for the 2500 and 3500 are the same, so the Modulite for the 3500 is good to go for your truck. There is a fellow who makes a GREAT relay box for the trailer wiring, I think it is better than the Modulite product. It ties into the factory harness just before the split to the 4-way plug and the 7-way, uses power from the battery for the relays, uses your factory wiring to trigger the relays, ALL your trailer lights are then brighter. If you are interested in his TIPM box, pm me and I will give you his e-mail addy.

The Modulite seems pretty straight forward - just plug and play...just want to fix the issue and can't see paying the dealer hundreds of $$$ to flip a switch.

I installed one last year, been working great.

I also installed this, so I didn't have to butcher up my stock wiring. I cut this one up instead and spliced in all the wires.

I ran a 12 gauge hot wire to the back using this kit

I moved to a 15 amp fuse, cause I have backup lights on a relay using this wire also.

Heavier relay is this if you need a bigger one.

Yes was on my 2006, and used that plug in on mine, only had to cut the 4 white light wires on the adapter only, had to use a tester to match up to the modulite, as they are not labeled.

Download the .pdf instructions, they make more sense.
I used the truck 4 flat plug on mine to get the signal to the modulite.
