oil pan seeping rust bubbles

Just like the title says. I know its been posted before. I prob had it the last couple years, just thought it was grime on the pan. This has got to be a manufacturer defect. So many others with the same problem. Cant rust particles get picked up and work their way into the crankcase?

Very little chance. LOL
Rust started from outside only.
Only it rusted through the pan the oil would be on the road/floor.

Interesting question.

I lived in the Chicago suburbs for 20 years and saw this happen a couple times. The cars were usually 20+ years old though.

I would say not under warranty considering the age of your truck.

I see there is an aftermarket company making stainless steel oil pans

I'm glad I don't live where things rust like that...
