Digging into it tomorrow. But can't hear the actuators making noise. Is this a normal issue?

Normal thing to happen is the wires being broken between the door and body. My left rear door contacts aren't working anymore, so no doom light for me when I open that door. I'll dig into it one day.

Lots of guys have had this issue, if you like electrical repair work you can just splice in a new piece of wire right where the harness has to flex when you open and close the door but the complete door harness can be bought relatively cheap if you want to just swap it out as a complete unit.
I now have one sitting on the shelf to splice some new wires into to have a spare on hand

Glad this issue is fixed.

For future thread searchers...

Another cause is the door switches themselves (usually about a $15 part) or the drivers master switch panel (about $100)

Both of those have a history of fail.

First thing I did was unplug the doors that didn't work and test the wiring. Power was there on mine so pushed back the rubber cover and the wires were broke apart.

My '03 was the same. I used those heat shrink covered butt connectors and spliced them back together. Was supposed to be a temperary fix till I got a new harness but my dealer wanted almost $200 each! 4 yrs later its still going.

I've done this on a few vehicles, including both of my dodges. Some butt connectors and lots of electrical tape keeps them from breaking at the point of strain again... I have not had an issue since.

Greetings madhat, I appreciate your comments and I'm going to try and do this this weekend. Just sorting out a fuel issue right now.
