Wink MEGA with LONG BED for 2010

I'm sure that you all have seen this...... Google it and you will all have a on your face........ They have camo on it at this time, but I feel that Dodge will keep the Mega for the 2500 & 3500 series trucks......!

** SO: Who will be trading??

not me. am doing the long bed conversion. don't want anything to do with the 6.7

a customer gave me a bed off of an 06 (and it is already black pearl), another customer gave me the rear section of the drive shaft, another customer is doing the welding (volunteered) so I have to buy small parts such as brake lines, u-joints and wiring. figured I could get r dun for about $750 (includes buying 50 kpa steel to match the frame strength). so no new truck fer me! LOL

I hate to ruin your Christmas (mine too), but...

Those aren't Mega Cabs despite what pickuptrucks.com says. They're just camo-ed to look like Megas. The new cab is something between a Quad and a Mega, like a Chevy or Ford 4-door. Go drive a 2009 1500 4-door, it'll be the same cab size.

Maybe they could call it a "Club Cab" Remember those? My dad had one while I was growing up. Maybe that's where I acquired a taste for Dodges.

Time for bed...kids will be up in a few hours wanting to open presents. Best wishes to everyone! No matter what you drive (but if I were Santa, I'd want a Cummins under the hood of my sleigh).

imo,
it's a shame that dodge will have those ugly bulky rear fenders on the new duallies. i liked the sleek look of the rolled rear fender the best.

I heard that rumor earlier in the year and if it turns out to be true that would rock.

I love the idea of a Mega + long bed straight from the factory.

When the time comes for me to replace my 2006, I may go to a dually, but I am happy with the short bed Mega. If I were to want a long bed, I think I would go up a cab size, get a Ford with the 8L Cummins conversion or a Freightliner.

At this point in time, I have no plans to buy the new body style with those UGLY bulky fenders, I too like the rolled fender that came out on the Mega Cabs. Like Chris, I do not want the 6.7l engine and all that DPF stuff that goes with it.

Maybe I'll look for a dually bed takeoff and just convert mine to a dually now, easily enough done. Guess I'll start looking for a bed, the wheels and spacers are readily available.

The conversion is easy. I helped Wild04.5 do his since he bought my 5th wheel. We ended up putting a flat bed on it rather than a dually bed (hence he giving me the dually bed THANKS WILD!). I just took the fenders off of the bed and will have my shooting instructors bodyshop repair the little holes and buy bushwacker pocket style flares to cover the notch they cut in the side of the bed.

I don't like enough people to need a Mega Cab. I just don't understand spending the extra money for somebody else to be comfortable. I don't have kids just a wife and she and I sit in the uncomfortable front seats.
