Seat upgrade

Just sat in a 06 Megacab and really noticed how much more comfortable the front seats are than my 03 (longer seat bottem, and I'm 6'4"). Does anyone know if 06 seats would bolt up in an 03. I am guessing a standard quad-cab seat is the same as a Megacab. Thanks for any input.

The front seats for the 3rd generations should be a direct swap from one to another. I know that the SRT-10 seats will go right into a 2500 without any issues......other than having "SRT-10" on the seat back rest.

That's funny, I hear a lot of people whining about how terrible the 06 seats are. I'm with you, mine are far superior to the one's in my 2001.

I miss the seats in my 03 Ford Powerjoke Lariet. Much better than the ones in my Laramie but I'm getting used to them (100,000 miles later)

Have you ever heard of anyone "lowering" their seats. You know how guys in big trucks look sitting real low. I dont think I would ever do it but looks cool just a thought.

I need to lower my seat too - I'm 6'4" and my hair gets static-ed up to the headliner out here in the dry desert.

Will be doing the seat mod shortly. Why did Dodge skimp so badly on these seats? Almost ruins an otherwise great truck.

I don't see how they're that bad. I think they're pretty comfortable. I've had an 05, and now have an 07 and both seem great to me. Even my brother's 99 doesn't seem uncomfortable to me. Are yall expecting a cadillac or something?

I like my 05 seats more than my 02, but wish i could make it even higher. I have power seat, and have it up all the way, but i still wish i could be taller in the truck. dont wanna look like a midget in the front seat... thats what i let my wife drive it for.

I'm expecting to not have nerve problems and legs and butt falling asleep... These seats are horrible. You must weigh 85lbs or something

I've got an 07 now. Boy are these seats stupid!!! They arent to bad in the butt, but, I cannot seem to get it adjusted right. Plus, there is a big hunk of plastic that jabs me in the calf of my left leg when driving. I thought that my 04 seats were much more comfortable, and much much easier to get perfectly adjusted. just my .02.

06 slt here. The seats are terrible. Not enough padding on top of the framework in the seat. There also is an area at the bottom of the seat back where I can feel the frame. As far as comfort, not even close to my previous 02 psd. However, I am still on the original tranny/clutch at 100k. The psd, auto, was on 3rd tranny at 120k which is why I opted for the manual in this truck. I do a lot of in town driving and tow 12k during the summer. Probably 10-20k and will be replacing the clutch. Seats suck, engine and tranny good, I'll deal with it.

this is my third 3rd gen and I hate the seats, they suk. Go sit in a chevy or ford, seats are much much better.

I can't believe that Chysler didn't do a better job on the interior as a whole. For what these trucks cost I would expect a bit more..

Yeah, these seats are pretty bad. I put carpet between the springs and foam and it's a lot better.
