Zip tie that EGT probe wire to something secure so it does not short itself out on the battery.

Glad to help...

I'd take that edge out for sure, and try to cover my tracks as much as possible...

Here's the thing with adding an aftermarket lift pump...

When you start making more horses with mods, you need more fuel, or you'll drain the rail, and bad stuff starts happening then. Use dodge for the free pump for now, but look into a pusher pump, or you'll be seeing this again.

Don't let the tank get to less than 1/4 tank, it will prolong the life of your pump.

With the in-tank lift pump you don't have to worry about running lower than a 1/4 tank of fuel. That information is for aftermarket kits and non in-tank lift pumps. The in-tank lift pump uses a bowl or canister that is spring loaded to stay on the bottom of the fuel tank. The return line also runs into this container to help keep the container full of fuel. The in-tank lift pump always has enough fuel to transfer fuel to the cp3 unless of course you run out of fuel.

No......the intank pumps use the fuel in the tank to cool it. If you get below 1/4 tank, the pump is exposed and runs hotter.

An EGT probe has absolutely nothing to do with a lift pump failure. On the pre '05 vehicles this is a COMMON failure. The dealers see this stuff on stock and modded trucks. It's covered under warranty and cost me zero. Don't sweat this one.

Anyone that wishes to argue in that manner here in the forums is not welcome. Feel free to share opinions here on DTR, but if you feel the need to get personal in the process.....DON"T

My fuel pump was still working and I just put on the Walbro and GDP Big Line Kit along with the Fuel tank Vent Mod. Bought it through Lary here on DTR and got it real fast. The hard part of the install was the 3 inches of water in my driveway that I had to lay in while connecting the fuel pump lines to the fuel filter. When I started the project the weather was fine but I had to finish in a nasty rain.

I don't plan on making big HP but I wanted reliability.

I feel bad for some of you guys and the dealerships you have to work with. My dealership sells Edge products, and has warrantied every modded truck I've seen come through there. There is one that I have seen with every bell and whistle and an edge programmer, and he blew up the motor. They replaced it under warranty, and the edge monitor was still in the truck the whole time
