Horn Beeps in Reverse ?
Yes, it's normal. It's a safety feature. You can turn it off, but I'm not sure how to do it. I'd like to turn it off on my truck too. The instructions are probably in the manual . . .

As stated above it is a safety feature. As far as turning it off, No can do. The easiest way to keep it from doing it is buckle the seatbelt before backing up, this will keep it from honking.
The solution?
I do think there is a very simple solution; Just add a relay that disables the horn whenever the reverse lights are on.
I specifically asked my dealer not to install this "safety" update on my truck. I suspect that once it is programmed it would be difficult or impossible to get a dealer to un-do... I can't even imagine what the wife would say if my air-horns went off every time I backed my trailer down the driveway ;-)
