Thumbs up Exactly 1 year and 22,010 Miles later....

and I still LOVE my truck!!! My mileage has been steadily improving over the past 5 or 6 thousand miles from 15 MPG its now getting 17.5 MPG. The 6 shooter has really loosened up since new.

The only item I am disappointed about is the fact that the high idle feature is not available with the 6 shooter. (it would have came in handy last winter when it was -20 F when I was up in Canada....however the truck fired right up after cycling the heater grids twice....I think it would have went on one but I did two just to make sure)

I've had my truck for 3 1/2 years, 71000 miles and I still get a smile everytime I twist the key.

I really had to chuckle on our long trip. I would pull into an RV park and the Ford and Chevy guys give you "THAT" look that says "poor sucker bought a Dodge". Then, you overhear them talking about all the problems they are having and the lousy mileage. They would ask me what mileage I was getting, I would tell them and "THAT" look starts again like "this idiot does not even know how to figure his mileage". So, I would take them out and let them read the computer. UUUUUU - - AAAAHHHHH - - but it probably isn't accurate - - yeh, right. We Dodge guys get together and talk about how good our trucks are running. Really wierd.

On the Chevy and Ford forums I see everyone doing 2 things: 1) Talking about how much Dodges suck and 2) talking about how many problems they're having.

On the Dodge forums, I see everyone talking about how great their trucks are, with a few comments on problems. 'nuff said.

When I'm out driving ALL the other owners of the "inferior " trucks sure do look . Hear all the Dodge jokes at work from the Ferd & Chev guys but they sure don't like the fact that my lil 6 banger has no glow plugs to change and she fires right up !! My wifes car is a " Heartbeat of America " and it has more problems than any vehicle I have ever owned ........... even she gave me trouble about buying a Dodge . First dodge and definately not my last !!

Had a few conversations with guys in the pits at truck pulls and when parking at College. Most guys when they see my truck out driveing around think it is just a pretty truck that never gets used. then I go to the truck pulls and the guys see it on a trailer being pulled in and say that it is a trailer queen. Then ever still there is guy that see my truck under a load like moveing a tractor or 12 round bales on our 35GN drag and say that the truck hardly ever pulls that trailer. What is great is when those same guys follow my truck from day to day and see that my truck is my daily driver, my work horse, and my sled pulling truck. With 150k miles and 391HP to the ground and the truck was only stock for the first year I owned it. I kinda have to laugh in their face when they try to down grade my truck. Just because their Ford or Chevy don't do the same things my truck does with half the miles and half the problems.
My truck I know it aint a 3rd gen but so far I have only replaced two things that have worn out on my truck. front Hubs at 145k and the fuel linkage (under warrenty) I'm happy and thats why I will be placeing a order for a 05 next year
