dealer vs. shop

Who would be better to have install a suspension lift system, auto mechanic shop or off road dealer? Dealer might be more expensive, but i figure mechanics who do suspension work would be just as good right?

For me, it's the dealer for warranty work only, shop where you can talk to the owner and the mechanic (usually the same guy) for everything else.
Most dealers focus on beating flat rate and billing as many hours as possible, a shop with the owners name out front is way more likely to place customer satisfaction and quality work much higher up the priority list.

At the dealer, your might get a horn honking flash update. Plus, they really don't do things like this.

3rd option, yourself and 2 other buddies + a case of beer and meat on the grill. You can get it done in a weekend and use the $$$$ saved for other mods

Just do it your self. Put aside on weekend and have your tools ready. Save the money.
