A/C blows cold then warm
My a/c works fine at idle and low speeds but once I pick up speed it just blows like the vent is on. I've looked all over and can't find any similar problems. What can it be?
Thanks,
Ruben

Low freon which also means leak. 99% of the time it's the evaporator coil under the dash. About $900 to replace by a shop. You can do it yourself for about $250, then take it to a shop to get recharged for another $150 or so.
OR......You can do what everyone else does. Get a can with a fill kit and add it. The hose will only fit in one place. See how that does. It gets risky when adding any more. The little gauges on the cheap filler hoses are very inaccurate. Overcharging can turn things into bombs real fast. Alot of times you can get lucky and add a can a year and get by with it.

Ture dat BigDave. In my 99, it started with having to add a can a year. When it got to two cans I added Super Seal. That took it back to one can for the next two summers, then the last summer, it all went and I had to replace the evap. It's not a bad idea to make plans to change it. Once I finally did mine, I found that almost all of the air flow had to have been blocked by all the gunk stuck to it. When it leaks, it seeps a small amount of oil and dust and dirt sticks, making a big mess and blocking alot of the air flow.

Radiator and freon pertain to two separate systems. Radiator is engine cooling. Freon is inside the ac system. The super seal comes with a partial freon charge and goes in the ac system.
