broken blend door

How can you tell if the recirc door is working? I push the button but I can't physically hear anything moving? Is it a noticeable sound? I've not reason to believe it doesn't work other than curiosity

Open the glove box part way, pull the back corners inward, and rotate the glove box down and remove it.

You should now be looking right at the recirculation intake. The tanish flapper (blend door) should be visible in the intake grille if it is set to fresh air, and you should see it move if you switch it to recirculate.

I would like to mount the flapper door and secure it in the rec. pos. Which is rec. pos. Up or down?

The photo above shows the door blocking the recirculation intake grille, in the fresh air position.

The recirculation position has the door tipped up, blocking the fresh air passage.

If you drop the motor and look up, you will see the fresh air passage in the top.
