Blinker problem

I started noticing it more and more lately that when i put on my left blinker my right one comes on as well. Even wierder is that sometimes when I attempt to put the left on the right come on by itself, no left blinker at all. The right blinker functions normally at all times, the issue is only with the left.
Any help?

You're low on blinker fluid.

I had to do it, sorry.

I'd say something shorted in the steering column, or the wiring from there to the fuse panel up in the front, under the hood.

also check all your wiring and grounds... if you've got a bad ground on the left circuit, it could be grounding out to the right circuit somehow. check the bulb sockets for corrosion, etc.

had this hapen a few times on some older Fords... scratched my head for a while and then found some cruddy bulb sockets and replaced all the bulbs (they're cheap enough)

problem went away both times

I had the same problem, Check the 4 way flat trailer plug on the back of the truck!!!!!

Mine was melting together into a big mess!!!!!!

The cap on the 4way is about the worst thing ever as far as holding in the road "salt/sand/slime/junk"

Bad multi-switch most likely. I know the 06's are on a service watch for them.

Sounds to me like too much blinker fluid.

Wow it's been a while. Finally got around to getting it to a competent dealer who figured out it was a bad multi-function switch
