37x12.5x17 will fit on a stock one ton

I bit the bullet and decided to give them a try. Cooper discoverer stt 37x12.5. I love them!

Little bit of a teaser pic. I got it cleaned up today and touched up the wheels. I'll get more pics tomorrow.

How can you do that to me, man? Hurry up with the rest of the pics! I've been wanting to do this for a while now! I'm waiting on my 315's to wear out....... and some sort of deal on tires. Where did you find the best price one those? BTW the Cooper STTs are probably my favorite-looking tire.

Also, what thickness is your rear wheel spacer?

I got the home boy hook up from discount tire, but they wont touch a truck with spacers so i had them mounted at a different shop. 2" spacer out back. They have a slight hum but are very quite when you consider how big the tread blocks are.

That looks sick, man. That's a sharp truck, too.

Do you tow a fifth wheel? If so, how does it fit underneath. If not, how much higher does the truck sit compared to the stock 235-80-17's? I would love to go with a much taller tire, but I need to consider the height for a fifth wheel.

I don't but I think I will hit the cab before I hit the bed rails. It raised the truck 2.5 inches over stock. I can pull the spacers out back and drop it down if I need to. I plan to get a new car trailer next year so it better clear. If not I will make it clear.

When you say spacers, are you referring to the wheel spacers, or lift spacers?

The stock lift spacers between the spring and axle. My 2wd 2500 did not have them, but this truck does. So I don't know how if it was just the 4x4 trucks that got them or what.

The 4x4s have them because the driven front end sits higher than on a 2x.
Your truck is awesome dude, those big *** tires look great. Do they bog it down much?

Not any noticeable amount, but the truck makes over 800 ft lbs of torque. Lol

I just put those same tires on my 86 swb Chevy a few weeks ago. I love them in the mud i never had to put it in 4wd. They have good bite and clean out very well, and they just look mean as hell on the truck. Sweet truck by the way.

Yeah they are great in the mud, and I'm hoping they are going to work well in sand. I did a little testing and found that I didn't even need to use 4wd in a few holes that gave me trouble before. Hopefully they last 40k+ miles.
