2004.5 Order Status / Where's my truck?!
It's hurry up and wait.
We'll be laughing about this in a few weeks.
You know, everytime I get frustrated about this, I think how lucky we are to HAVE these choices, and be able to buy things like this.
Turn on the evening news sometimes, and it puts our little truck delivery problems into perspective.

c172driver, that sounds like a real good price. I'd jump on it. I'm paying $749 over invoice from AZ before the $2500 rebate. I sure would like to sell my current truck though as I'm a little worried that they might try to get one over on me if I have to trade it in.

First, congrats c172driver on your order.
Now the wait begins. If you try not to think about it, it goes by kind of fast.
As for mine, I'm not sure why D1 (all parts available, ready to build) was pushed back 21 days. I haven't talked to the dealer and I doubt DC Customer Service will be able to tell me. I'll just keep tracking its progress every few days and see what happens. With the D1 date changing since yesterday, I was just hoping that meant assembly was in-process and it wasn't finished yet. Hence, wondering how long it takes to build one truck. I guess not. I will just have to wait patiently for either KZ or JS status. I'm figuring it'll arrive the first of April, provided it doesn't get pushed back again.

Moving to MI in June...as long as the truck is here. Should make the cross country pulling my travel trailer a joy. Should be a little better on the mpg's. Towing with my GMC v8 is a nightmare...5 to 6 mpg.

From the factory to Vera Cruz usually takes 2 to 3 days. After that it waits at the docks to be loaded onto the ship(mine was at the docks 4 weeks)The ship will take 9 days to get to Port Newark, then it should be 2 to 3 weeks after that until it is shipped to your dealer.Hopefully, yours will not have any Quality holds on it(that tends to slow things down)
Mine was odered 12/10,D1 12/18,Built 1/9, Released fom the factory 01/25, shipped 02/20 from Vera Cruz, Arrived today in NEWARK, and I still have another two weeks to wait for the vehicle!!!

Released 2/18
Verz Cruz 2/23
Port of Baltimore 3/3
Due into dealer 3/15 - I HOPE sooner than that. We are less than a 2 hour drive from there.
So, I'm only a couple days behind you.

FWIW, my dealer gets ALOT of trucks. He thinks he should be seeing it within two weeks, which makes me suspect that my dealer gets his deliveries from the Port of Baltimore much quicker than DC estimates. I HOPE!!
My truck went to "E" status today (frame build)!
It had been in D1 status since 2/13. I would think it will be completed in the next day or so. It should be coming to me by rail. I wonder how long it will be until it's released from the factory.
I was worried that I was going to get pushed out to an April build date, but now, I can almost smell the diesel (at least I will in 3-4 weeks, right!)

Just curious - what does that website say for your ride and was it updated when your truck was scheduled to load/leave VC?
Starting at about 3/10 or so, I'll just be waiting for the call from my dealer!

The dealer rec'd his "paper work" for my truck last week. He thought it should be in this week. The dealer is not much help since this is a fleet vehicle being dropped to his dealership.
Can anyone point me in the right direction to find out where my truck is located. My VIN is 3D7KU28CX4G192963.
Thanks,
David
