Just check it out good for flood damage. It seems some katrina vehicles have been slipping through the cracks.

Mine is 4x4 I get 12 mpg at best towing my 12,000 lb 5vr & 17.5 at best empty but she only has 4600 miles on her.

If it is anything like my 03 HO six speed, you will love it. I have 45,000 on mine with no problems other than the take off shudder when loaded. I think they have a handle on that now.

Which 6 speed does it have? The NV5600 (reverse on the top right) or the higher geared G56 (reverse on lower left).

I don't have a manual but with 4:10's I get about 9 towing the big gn trailer and about 16 on the highway running 80mph. also if it is a 4x4 the main things these trucks see are ball joints. Jack the front end up and useing a prybar see if there is any play in the steering knuckles up and down. if so it needs joints and they aren't cheap. run about $100. a pop x4. and also while in the air check tie rod ends and track bar looseness. other than that all is good!

Run the VIN for title search(owner history). Take it to a Dodge Truck dealer and have them give it the third degree.
Cheers

It has the NV5600. I'm going to drive it tommorow. Hope it has the 3.73 gears. Is there a gear ratio tag on the rearend?

2000 RPM at 63 MPH = 4:10 gears
2000 RPM at 69 MPH = 3:73 gears

The gear ratio will be listed in he glove box and on a tag . I have the 3.73 in my dually and it is perfect for pulling 15,000 lbs . Mileage really improved when I started running Stanadyne Perf Formula add 2 - 8 oz. every fill up & I have not had any injector probs at all . I am amazed at how smooth these beasts idle ,the Cummins N-14 ,M-11 & ISM I drove would rattle your fillings at idle ......... but boy they would pull 11 yards of concrete all day long with no complaints ! My truck just LOVES to work she gets better mileage on my overhead running with 1000 lbs in the bed than empty !

I'm pretty sure that the 6spds only come with 3.73's. I think that the 4.10's are only an option for the auto's.
