Slow and steady wins the race. Take your time and they will come off.

I think I unplugged my throttle connector from the bottom. These things are kind of "childproof" to where you need to move a plastic tab out of the way to flex and unsnap another plastic tab and disconnect.

Sounds like you got it covered under the hood. No need for the throttle valve delete with the Cali deletes.

Easiest way to remove the DPF would be do unclamp at the muffler and remove the first couple of hangers holding the muffler up to allow for some play. Easiest way I have found to remove the hangers from the rubber mount is a liberal spray with WD40 and get a big screwdriver and they can easily be pried off.

Don't cut the rods that slide through the hanger. Spray the rods with lube and slip them out.

Just make sure that the 02 sensors and temp sensors are properly disconnected on the exhaust and you are good to go.

Quick question for you guys. can the all three settings for the smarty jr be used with the cali-deletes or do more mods need to made to support the higher horse power settings?

Really great write-up by the way. It's definitely the way I'm headed in the near future.

No, you can run the 100hp setting with the cali deletes.

Just mind the right foot. Your tranny and head gasket will thank you.

Gents, I have read the entire thread but believe me when I say I am new 2 diesel. NOT PERFORMANCE OR MECHANICS!! I have a 2011 Dodge 2500 Laramie 6.7 with about 400 miles on it. I plan on doing mods that keep it reliable, not worried about warranty, to a certain extent. Problem is, I have no idea where to get parts or get the tune after I INSTALL. I do not understand some of the acronym's you have discussed. Basically I need a parts breakdown with potential recommended sites to buy parts. Please give me the whole she-bang. Also, who is the best tuner? On youtube "Aligator Performance" is all over the place. I am in NC and want to stay local if possible. Please let me know. Big thanks to all that reply. I guarantee a 100% photo per step process during the build!!

Take a look here for some common acronyms.

A list of hardparts will depend on just what route you want to take on the deletes.

Now where to get those parts is easy. While there are many a fine store on the web, my favorite is right here.

Any thing you need can be had in the DTR store, and if you dont see it just ask, more that likely they can get it for you.
