I'm going to be working a bunch of overtime this spring summer and plan on dumping some cash into my truck. I'm thinking of adding injectors, a new intake, a new turbo, and a 5" exhaust. Probably going to upgrade the clutch as well. What do you think I should be looking at for a turbo? Any need to think about twins? Any thoughts about injectors? Best clutch for what hp I'll be running? Any other thoughts you have for me are greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Kris

Injectors aren't as easy of an upgrade on 3rd gens and quality options are lacking. I'd suggest you get your power by using one of the many tuning modules available instead. If you're just looking to get 100-150 more hp out of the truck there is no need for twins. Do some searches on turbos there are 8 million threads. Plan on upgrading the clutch and getting gauges before doing anything. Call/PM Scotty for the intake!
Glowball,
I assume you are located in Washington State. If so, youare lucky. You are not too far from Pier's Diesel in the Vancouver, BC, area.
They ought to be able to create a "balanced system", for you. With all their experience, you should end up with a system that works, the first time. No mistakes.

Glowball - you need to assess your overall HP goals and plan around that. If you provide more input than 'i'd like to throw cash at my truck' we can try to better guide you down the right path. If you are looking to be pretty mild with it - don't get a 5" exhaust. From what I've read, they actually hurt performance till you're above 500hp at the wheels..
I'm sure everyone will tell you , GET GAUGES first! My advice is to keep it simple, get an edge juice/attitude and be done with it...then you've got gauges and power in one step - all you'd have to worry about at that point is intake and optionally a clutch or turbo - . As posted above - if you're close, there's no debating Piers knows their turbos.

So the injectors aren't a good idea. I already have a bully dog power pup that I really like. I just want to be able to use it on extreme all the time. The thought behind the 5" exhaust was more for sound than performance.
I'll have to give Piers a call when I get some cash for a turbo.
Thanks

Thanks for mentioning that you already have a bullydog
I'm not saying injectors are a BAD idea, the choices are just very limited and boxes are a much easier route to power.
If you want the sound, you can just change out your muffler for a performance straight thru design.
As far as running on extreme all the time - I know with an auto that would mean some upgrades, but I'm not sure how much the 6spd can handle power wise before needing a clutch upgrade - I'm sure someone can comment.

Is my signature not showing up so others can read it?? When I look at it I can see what I have.
Already got the straight pipe thing going on. Just want more. It's a disease. At least that's what the wife calls it.
