I don't know the wire in the Ram but I'm sure someone here can find it. Other than that you do need to bypass the clutch switch, that is simple though usually just a wire, sometimes you need a relay depending on the switch type and the system your installing.
i got the wiring diagram from direct techs..do you have a wiring diagram that can maybe tell me if something is hooked up wrong..i just can fig out why it doesnt start, i can hear the module clicking when i press the start key but it doesnt even try to turn the truck over.. could this possibly be a wiring problem or a problem with the clutch? also i can't figure out why the truck shuts off when i shut my door on a pit stop. also what are the procedures on bypassing the clutch switch? thanks alot for your help

You do need to bypass the clutch switch if you haven't. To test this sit in the truck with the clutch pedal on the floor and try to remote start the truck, if it works them you just need to bypass the switch and your all set. Is the system a DEI system? If so do you have the black/white wire in the smaller connector grounded? This wire needs to be grounded for the starter to operate. What year and model is trhe truck? And what color is the key?

Hit up the12volt.com...I installed the Viper 5900 in my '05, and that site was great for tips, tricks, and wiring diagrams. I'd also recommend that people are cautious of the low cost install shops...there are quite a few shortcuts that can be taken, and the cheaper shops tend to typically follow those practices. Just my $.02.

Clutch bypass is a yellow/blue neg polarity at the clutch switch. There is teo access and two igntion wires on this truck that need to be hooked up. You will need some relays.

X2 on checking the shops for the install. I had this shop nearby do it, they didn't use grommets, just drilled holes stuck the wires through, that was it. Used speaker wire for wire for relays, door switch (only one, they said the passenger door was 'optional')
I was really unhappy once I looked under the dash, I went back and they ignored me.
