what brand alarm / remote start / turbo timer

are any of them plug-n-play for starter/engine interrupt?
i'd rather not cut up the OEM wiring, in case there is a problem

buddy has a remote start, running AC might be ok down south.

but my truck only has keyless from the factory, i'd rather have an alarm on it,
may as well get one that remote starts, and does the turbo timer shutdown.

the wife/kid don't ever wait for it cool down a second, they shut it down while it's still moving if they could.

what's opinions/good/bad?

The only thing that's going to be close to plug and play is the factory alarm.
Remote start wasn't a factory option (as far as I know) so there won't be a simple one of them.

Best bet is go with any of DEI's products.
Viper, Clifford, Python, etc.

They won't be anywhere near plug and play,
but are the best of the best when it comes to alarms and remote starts.
Some even have the turbo timer built in, as does my Viper.

My Viper has remote-start and turbo-timer functions. To use the turbo-timer function, when the vehicle is still on, hit the remote start button twice, the dash blinks twice, remove key. Depending on how it's wired, you can keep the radio on, or off, along with all accessories inside.

I had a Compustar and, it was great. It had more features than I knew what to do with.Keyless entry, remote start(works with diesel, turbo, and manual trans. equiped vehicals),programable start(starts your truck at a programed time, say every mornig at 7, or you can program it to star every two hour and run for 15 min. for the really cold nights), paging alarm(remote shows you if a window is broken or if the shock sensor was set off, It also has some other options for more $$$ of course, like an air preasure sensor(sences air preasure changes in the cab and ad just sencitivity),and a radar sencer so if someone comes with in a pre-set distance of your rig the alarm will give a warning chirp and if they don't move in ten seconds th alarm will go off. I had this set up for two years and loved it. It was a bit pricey at $600 insalled but it was worth it. Hope this helps
