Will boost fooler work.

Will the Quadzilla boost fooler iam hearing so much about in these forums work with my predator(dr.performance) 85hp/170ft plug in module? and if so do you think it will be within safe turbo pressures? I still dont have gauges yet to tell.

Not sure about the predator, but it works fine with the bully dog and i think i was running it with the edge box as well. I've not had any problems with to much boost....just get a real gauge and not one that feeds of the obdii port like bully dog.

A boost fooler will work with anything that fuels enough to drive boost over stock limits....it'll even increase the boost with a stock setup....too much is subject to opinion....the boost fooler eliminates any boost limit...so your fueling is what is driving max boost....a lot of people hit 40+ on the stock turbo and they appear to hold up fine. I use the smarty for boost fooling and regularly see 38+psi when it's not 110* in AZ

Quad's boost fooler opens the waste gate at 40 psi under most circumstances. You can drive it over some but that is way more fuel than the engine can use at that point. The 40 psi seems to be quite safe for the HE351 as long as you don't bark it too much and kill it.

Are you positive on that? I was under the impression that it just opened it up like the smarty does??? If it actually has a 40psi hard limit, i'll get one....the smarty boost fooling lets you shoot to the moon if you have enough fuel.

Pretty sure the Dr Performance has a boost fooler built in. My truck would hit 43psi with it.

Straight from Quad, it limits boost at about 40 psi. That may be 38 to 42 depending on signal, fueling, etc. Stock my truck would max at 40 psi. Even with the Smarty on 9 I have seen no more than 43 psi and that was a downshift and 3500 rpm's.
