Who here has installed a bypass for the factory lift pump???
Who here has installed a bypass for the factory lift pump???
Need to who know who has installed an adaptor or something so that I can get rid of the factory lift pump and run just the Holley Blue as the sole pump?
Thanks.
Thanks.
The 04.5 does not have the pump in the filter housing. As a matter of fact when replacing the transfer pump on the 03-04 you have to convert it to an in-tank pump using new part numbers. So the pump that you are talking about you do not have because it is part of the fuel module in the tank. I see that you work at a dodge dealer, check with your parts guys. I also work in parts at a dealership.

OH YES I DO!!!!!!!!!
DR500 you are correct. The 2005 have the in-tank pumps.
Its right there....on the filter housing.
Thats why I want to get rid of it!!!!!
Its the 2nd one in 32K miles.
Now.....the pump itself is now being superceded.......with the 2005 style in-take pump.

I haven't but lots of people have, a search should get you all the info you can digest. If you get ahold of Scotty here he builds an adapter for when you remove the stocker from the filter housing.
I recently contacted Scotty reference a bypass for the stock lift pump and the Holly blue pump. What he told me was that he no longer uses a bypass and instead just installs the holly in-line. I maybe mistaken but I believe that was the idea.
I am sure Scotty will chime in if he sees this thread

I discontinued the adapter for two reasons.
Several folks where reporting to me they had great fuel pressures and no problems with upwards of 80,000 miles running the two pumps. There are a few folks on this site running Holley blues or reds with their stock pumps.
The other reason I canned the adapter is because the machinist was unable to maintain the tolerances after MANY attempts.
I even tried to get the adapter Dodge makes for the in tank option but they will not sell it seperately.
When did you leave me a voicemail?
