Water pump

Can anyone tell me how long they are go for (miles). I have a little over 100,000 on the clock. I'm talking daily driven trucks that tow on weekend. Not you drag racing or sled pulling trucks.

I changed mine out at 200k and it was still ok. It was not leaking but I could tell the bearings and seals were looser than the new one! (Bosch from Rock Auto)

Mine went at 50k, others much more miles, you just never know, keep the tools and one with you if concerned.

I have 187K and no issues, I'm not changing it just because of high miles, if it aint broke I aint fixing it. Keep the coolant clean and air free.

Coolant pump went out at 250k on the 00, still ok at 110k on 05. These pumps are easy to change, an easy road side fix if you had to.

We just changed the water pump in my boss's '97 are are fairly certain it was the original (same Cummins Bluke color and part #).

Started leaking out the weep-hole at 310,000

Had do replace mine at 65,000. Easy to do though. The hardest part was removing the belt.

Just over 150,000 when mine started weeping. Put on an AC Delco since it had the same waranty as a Cummins pump for half the cost.

Changed at 70k AND 140k. Seems to be a trend for me? The second one just let go, complete slop when I took it apart. Then again, what do you expect from this crap made in China?

By the time I had 110,000 miles on the engine I had already changed two pumps. Both had no leaks and suddenly gushed water everywhere. I now carry a rebuilt pump with me at all times. Got it from Rock Auto for $60.
