Water leak from water pump area
Ok looks like my water pump is leaking. Seen a little leak just small spot every now and then over the last couple of weeks. Can't really see anything but pretty sure its the pump. Today the leak got pretty bad after stopping. Anybody got an idea what the cost of service department is replacing the water pump. I'll call in the morning and see. Just wondered if anyone has had to pay for one lately?

They are easy to do about 20 min. to do there is 2 bolts 10mm Just let out some antifreeze first pull back on the tenisoner pull the belt off the water pump. Comes right out o ring seal. Slide it out and push in the new one.

are you over 100,000? if not, it is covered under the cummins warranty. I had mine replaced under warranty. My friend is the local diesel tech and as mentioned already he changed it in about 20 min and that wasn't rushing by any means. One of the simplest ones I have ever seen. Good luck

Well my Service Writer said bring it over it's still under warranty(65,150 miles). I'll get the rental car paper work started since you have one covered under your extended warranty.
Well it is nice to have a service department that will warranty things that should be warrantied and not hassle me about the 6 gauges, SPS66 turbo, TST, EZ, Smarty loaded, etc.

Service Writer called hour and a half after I dropped it off and picked up the free rental and said it was ready. Certainly a lot easier than me bustin lots of knuckles.
