TST+Edge & EGT with stock turbo

I'm running the TST PMCR on 5/5 stacked with the Edge EZ on level 3. I have the stock turbo, airraid intake, and 5" exhaust. On the dyno, this makes 395 hp and 751 tq. With this combination, I can nail it all the way to 108mph from a dead stop and the EGTs never rise above 1300 unless I'm towing. I thought it should be running hotter than this. Are these EGTs in the expected range for having the stock turbo, or am I just lucky? btw, the boost stays tacked at about 32.

What is your fuel pressure (i don't see a pusher pump)? I bet you are running out of fuel. It seems to be too cool of EGT's.

I would try a lower setting on the EZ and a little higher on the TST next time you are on the dyno to see if those numbers come up. Your EGT's will most likely too.

The fuel pressure is 6 max, about 5 on the road, and it drops to 1/2 when I'm on it hard. It doesn't feel like there is any loss of power during the run. I was trying other combinations on the Dyno, but I kept slipping the wheels. They couldn't keep them on the dyno.

The highest setting on the EZ will make most power on the dyno.
Your egt's seem fine.
I never experienced "CRAZY" egt's that everyone raves about from the TST and EZ combo, even with the stocker turbo.
I just let the wastegate do its job with the stock turbo on the 04.5.

Your numbers seem a bit low.... I would have guessed 260+100(tst... 20hp per click)+60(I think thats level 3) ==== 420hp ??

Heck, I did 410hp on level 6/5 (new program) and EZ and level 1
I think your lift pump is lacking -- Good excuse to buy a FASS (pump only) from DPP

One things for sure, sumptin aint right (although not that bad either, lots of people with the had your issue -- Low EGTS !!)

You are making me think I have a problem. I have just the EZ and no boost gauge. Today on level three I went from 0-80mph and saw about 1350 degrees on my EGT gauge so I eased out of it. I usally only stay into it until about 50-60 mph so I've never seen the EGT go that high before. I have the AFE drop in and torque tube, maybe it's time to drill some holes in the bottome of the Airbox.

A pressure box stacked with the TST will run cooler than the TST alone. This was discovered when the TST first came out and stacked with the EZ.

It sounds like the TST box is set to defuel at 1300. Reset that and see what happens.

With the 04.5, stock turbo and a TST we got EGT over 1700 and poped the stock turbo on the first level 9 run for less than a 1/4 mile.

I think the TST may be set that way out of the box.

gatf4 -- The EZ temps sounds about right. That's what I was seeing before I got my TST. The TST and EZ both seem to run hotter along than stacked. Strange.

Don -- I don't have it set to defuel. I didn't order the box with the gauges.

StrokeThisCTD -- I was seeing boost at 40-45 with the EZ boost elbow. It sounded like the turbo was going to explode on me. I thought I would try the TST elbow. Now the boost is less, but I figure the stock turbo might last me until I upgrade now.

TomeyGun -- You mentioned that you have the "new" program. Was it the newer non-agressive program, or was it the "newest" one that was released 3 or 4 weeks ago?

your are more than likely running out of fuel .....with fuel you will probably be over 400hp as tomeygun said.

This is the non-aggressive program, BUT not the one released 3+/- weeks ago, The one I have is at least 4 months old.... But very nice and smooth, alot easier on the turbo

TST supplies fuel with boost right? If the TST boost elbow (HO only not 600) does not allow boost to get over 32 (in his case), I doubt he will make 400 hp or more.

What is the new program (3 week old that Tommygun is talking about)? What is the difference? I would like more fuel down low...

I have the new in November 04 program (softer on bottom than the original????).

cquestad -- The way I understand it, the new program contains a few bug fixes. Either way, they can re-flash your box to make the low end as agressive as you want. It's just a matter of how much your other mods can handle. Give them a call and they'll be more than happy to help you out.
