i have a 05 2500 with power pup, afe, just bought 5 inch exhaust and torque dog to stack
before i do this i need to to something to my trans.. any suggestions on brand and mods

 

Give DTT a call at http://www.dieseltrans.com talk with bill he's a great guy to talk with on trans building . You will need to build if you like to get on it like me as factory trans are not built for 900lbs + of torque. As i plan to go on twin turbos etc. stock trans lose to much rpm's as for me not no more I where a neck brace now!

 

he told me a tq and 47re vb would hold as long as i didn't do powerbrakes or punch on every 5 seconds

 

47 re vb because of the pressure drops on 48re as you accelerate
