AUto Trans Question

How many quarts does it take to change the fluid (pan only) in a 48RE auto?

With a stock pan, roughly 6qts. If you buy two gallons, you'll have plenty - and it never hurts to keep an extra quart or so on-hand.

I just changed mine, took almost 2 gallons.

Mine took 7 not including 2 more for the deeper trans pan I have
Use ATF+4
