TNT cruising speed egts!!!

i drove my truck up the interstate this past weekend with these settings
tq=3
tm=0
rp=2
sw=5
my egts where at 800* - 900* at 75mph is this normal with the mods in my sig
what kinda of egts is everyone else seeing driving down the interstate and at what speed

That's normal for an aftermarket turbo. The larger the turbo, the higher the cruising EGT's will be.

Your fine if EGTs doesn't exceed 1250 degrees during WOT with the '03-04 models.

buddy of mine has an early '04 that's seen 1600-1800* too many times to count. He finally dropped a valve seat at ~150k

I'm seeing 800-900 when it's 100+ outside, and 750-800 when it's cooler outside.

My cruising yesterday (100+ degrees), on flat ground, was like 900. The bigger turbo makes it run a tad hotter light throttle.

Wow, I have never heard of a person going to 1800* before. 1600 is crazy high as it is.

Yeah I bet the top of your pistons are a lil on tha soft side at 1800*

I did a 500 mile round trip from Southeren NM to Albq this weekend. TNT settings were #7-TQ3-TM3-RP2--Wastegate off. I set the cruise at 80-85 the entire trip and my EGT's were between 750ish and 850 the whole trip. Passing uphill I could get close to 1200. I even played with my X2 with fuel only tune and that didn't seem to effect EGT's much (maybe 30 degrees while cruising) but it sure did shot up RP. With the Quad on 3 I would cruise on flat roads at around 20,500 PSI and would easily hit 25,500 going up hills or passing. I turned it down to 2 and never saw above 23,00 PSI. Seemed to get a litle extra MPG too with the X2 on 2.

yeah i have hit that 1800* mark before im lucky i havent dropped a valve seat
