Slight hesitation at cruising speed?????
My truck is acting a little wierd. After driving for about 30-45 minutes (hwy running) it get's this slight hesitation, like someone is slowly pushing the brake pedal and then letting up. I noticed my tac and speedo drop slightly, maybe 2-3 mph. If I stomp on the throttle it clears up for a few miles then act's up again. This only happens after driving for 30-40 minutes. After setting for a couple hours its fine, till you hit the 30-40 minutes. Doesn't seem to do it when using cruise control. I changed my fuel filter and have been running stanidine every tank. Could this be the sign's of a going bye, bye lift pump? Or posibly going on number 6 injection pump install?
And can someone explain the F.A.S.S. Fueling system? What does it actually do for the truck? And is it worth the $$$$$$?
Thanks Curt

STOP PESTERING ME ABOUT MY GAUGES! I'VE ONLY HAD THEM ON THE SHELF IN THE GAURAGE FOR 2YRS!!!!!
I thought it was odd to, about the LP, but they (wonderful dealer) tested it every time and reassurd me it was fine.
I know Phox, bad dog, no bisquet!

You trusted the dealer to test your lp? That was the first mistake. DC designed the test to get as many pumps to pass as possible, not to help the customer get a good one. Fuel pressure is everything. Any codes?

work till it's out. I'm a heavy mech. Nothing more than I hate is to work on rig's after work. It has run great after every VP44 change out, so I wasn't worried about the LP. As for the codes, nope, I'll try to run them tomarrow at work and see what pops up. If I pull up P0216, I will have a very, very,VERY hard time controling my self at the "dealers"! This "fueling problem" is getting really old. 80,345 miles and on my 5th VP44? One would think Dodge/Cummins/Bosch would say, hey? we have a problem, I think we should FIX IT! Don't get me wrong, I love my truck and would never drive/own anything else, but I need a cure not a band aid.
