Slight miss cruising
Slight miss cruising
Guys,
I did a couple searches and didn't come up with anything to really help me. My engine likes to "flutter" around 2000 rpm's while cruising under light throttle. It really isn't a miss, the rpm fluctuates about 25-50 in a rhythm almost. I can here it in the exhaust and slightly feel it. I can see the rail pressure bounce around just slightly when it is doing it. It never happens when pulling, just under light loads cruising around 2000 rpm, give or take a little.
Thanks

My truck does this "surge" also.
It's from the Arson III CP3 upgrade kit. The modified higher flowing FCA cannot modulate the throttle as well when under part throttle conditions.
The information document that came with the Arson kit mentions this & it's normal.
I see you have a TC modified CP3. It's likely the same reason as mine.
I just ignore it. It's very minor & nothing to worry about.
