Superchips FIREFLY - new info...
Well, I just opened up my FIREFLY box and this is what I see:
* The power module has "EDGE Products" molded into the plastic housing near the connector. The model number on the side is EZD1500 Ver 2.0, manufactured 10/17/2006.
* The "Lazer" gauge has "MSD" molded into the housing and looks to be a really nice unit. It has boost, power level and EGT readouts on the face. It has a black, touchscreen face and is the standard size that fits in the A-pillar mounts (2-1/16" I think it is?).
* The wiring and connectors look high quality, as good as anything else out there.
* Installation looks pretty straight-forward, with the pyrometer being the only thing that requires drilling/tapping/etc.
I'll post some pics in a few minutes.

Well, I read through the installation manual and it does install like anything else. One thing I noticed is this unit has 3 power levels (4 if you include stock) and the increase in power is really low.
Level 0 - Stock H.P. Stock lb ft
Level 1 - ....25 H.P. .....50 lb ft
Level 2 - ....45 H.P. .....77 lb ft
Level 3 - ....65 H.P. ....150 lb ft

Some of us may never understand why, but there is a huge market for quality, safe products like that.
I bet it sells better than modules that give you the ability to really tear things up.

Now I have something to do with my 4 day weekend. I'm glad you posted about this... mine might have sat on the front porch (I don't use the front door) all weekend. It has to be a good product, it was made on my birthday.
