Can someone please explain to me how you can do your own muffler delete on these trucks? I am assuming that just a straight 4 inch piece of pipe wont work because of the offset at the muffler. How have you done it with your trucks? The Kitty looks easy, just a normal piece of pipe should work?

I just used a 4ft piece of 4" pipe when I first bought my truck...
I had to cut off a few inches on one end, and I also cut both ends at opposite angles to line up better...

or for a short period, the always faithful 4" flex pipe and 2 band clamps. Just to see if the drone is to much or not.

 

Thats what I did the DAY I bought the truck, since I had some lying around, and I had to wait to pickup some 4" tubing and the time to weld it up...

It will be a tad louder INSIDE the truck, just because of the flexpipe, but itll give you an idea of the loudness...

 

how much louder is it? will it drone pretty bad? i have an 04 with 4" pipe and no cat from the factory.

 

I left my resonator on. A few of my friends that have a 3rd gen say they put their resonators back on because of the drone. I would like to have mine a lil louder but dont know if I want to take the resonator off then put it back on.

 

where the hell is the resonator?

 

did the 03-04 trucks have resonators???? I thought the megacabs where the only ones that came with factory resonators???
