Well I put my new SBC3250 in last Friday ,and it is great really puts the power down. Today I took apart the stock clutch. It seemed like it had allot of material on it still ,but the inner edge of the material was glazed over. Also the pressure plate surface was all blued so was the flywheel. I guess I made the right call in getting a new clutch? I was just wondering what everyone elses stock clutch looked like when they pulled it out?

Yours sounds exactly like mine. Still had plenty of material, but the pressure surface was blued and warped. I hung on to mine in case I ever break my SBC 3600 DD but I highly doubt that ever happens.

I pulled mine before i saw alot of wear on it. It does indeed sound like you made a good decision to pull it when you did.

How did you guys adjust your pedal on your SBC's. Do you just go bye what feels comfortable or is there a spec to go bye.
