Stock 600 Dyno results

I ran the new truck on the dyno (dynojet) today in totally stock configuration with 413 miles on the clock ... 3500 SRW 6-speed

Best run was 270.2 HP / 477.6 TQ

The torque reading is off because for some reason the pickup wouldn't read right. 477.6 was the only reading out of 6 runs! .... we tried taping the damper to no avail ... best we could figure was the paint is new and shiney interfering with the photocell ... didn't want to hold the dyno up anymore trying to get a reading ... we were going to paint it flat black ... wait for it to dry and try again .... but as I said ... didn't want to hold up the show ...

I'm sure those numbers won't stand for long knowing you.
That's impressive for stock.

Congratulations Keith!!

Those look like pretty good numbers for your new one.
Just think,... if you had run on Diesel Dynamics Dynojet
you might have had 400 H.P. and 900 Torque!!

It will get better with time. We have a stock 03 HO here we tested at 278 and 279 HP back to back after it had 25K on the clock. DynoJet, of course.

Glad you got a new truck Keith!!!!!!

As soon as the 04.5 gets here I will dyno it and report back what it does stock and with the new custom injectors

John,

I said the same thing at the dyno. That would have put down way more out west. Keith, Whats that sound, oh no, its flying electrical tape! Nice #s out of the box!

Don- the injectors are impressive to say the least!

I saw a new 600 run 240 hp on a very stingy Mustang dyno on Saturday. The truck was a 4X4 srw 6 speed with very few miles on it.

Everyone was seeing low numbers, and I think my hp was down about 10% from what I would expect on a Dynojet.

My 04 with 4200 miles put down 278hp and 510lbs .... bone stock. It's a 4x4 as well. I'm sure the numbers will come up on the 600 once you have more miles on it.
