Dyno Results/Aftermath from Western NC Dyno Day

Well, guys, I just returned home from two great days in Boone/Blowing Rock, N.C. after attending Lucas and Natalie Underwood's ("L&N Performance") Western N.C. Dyno Day which was held on Saturday June 21, 2008!

For those of you that missed this event, you missed a well organized event with some great door prizes, fantastic food, some pretty darn good dyno numbers and some real good comraderie between all of the diesel truck owners that attended. It was great to see my old friends there and to meet some new faces also. From our regular group, it was myself and Dustin Mabe
(Tacsavage), although Unit 44 (Sean Rayne) also came down with his family from up in Virginia! Dustin and Sean, it was great to see you guys again!

I want to thank Lucas (mysterync) and Natalie Underwood and their company "L&N Performance" for hosting such a great event! Lucas,.....it was a great pleasure to have finally met you and your Wife! You have a nice place up there and the history of your families "Mystery Hill" business was a pleasure to see. Next, I would like to thank "Sudden Performance" for bringing their Mustang Dyno to the event. Their Staff consisting of Brent, Scott, Justin and all the helpers did a great job IMO! Finally, my thanks to all of the sponsors that gave Lucas and Natalie product for this event. Having run events like this myself in eastern N.C., I can relate to how very important these sponsors are and IMHO we should all try to support them in every way we can. Hopefully, Lucas can post the names of these sponsors.

As I promised Lucas, I am posting the dyno numbers from the event below. They are listed in the order that the trucks were run and the highest H.P. numbers are listed. The torque numbers are not listed for all the trucks, as the "Sudden Performance" Staff was having some problems with the software/pickup on their dyno. Later in the day they were able to get this somewhat fixed, so I have listed torque when it was given to me. If I have misspelled anyones' names or listed a number wrong, my apologies. If there are any errors, please P.M. me and I will correct them for you. I also listed the DTR "User Name" when I knew it or it was given to me.

John,

That red 12v never ceases to amaze me! Monster numbers, and alot of other great numbers there as well. I was meaning to come out, but had to work. Although I have decided till everything is done to jump on the dyno. I'll be going up to Va in a couple weeks to get the tranny built. Then order and install everything else. I'll for sure see you at Wayne's in a couple months, when she is finished......

I have to agree with JohnP if you missed this event you missed a well organized event. I had not been to a dyno with this many trucks participating in a dyno. It was fun seeing the different trucks and learning what mods that individual has done to their truck to get to that point.

BTW: JohnP and Tacsavage even won door prizes.

It was great to put some new faces with names from here. Thanks Again Guys for a great time at the Dyno Day (JohnP, Tacsavage, 06Megacab5.9, Unit44, and MysteryNC).

Maybe I should have put mine on the rollers and went easy on the pedal to try to come in last.

I'll be down for yalls events, I've got it planned out! As long as nothing crazy happens I'll be there!
I would really like for all you guys to be part of the planning next year! Belive it or not , me and Natalie did all the planning , and while the vendors gave out some flyers, none of them were really interested in making this thing go smoother. (Except a few)

Next year, I think we have the ability to take this to the next level and get some major attention! It really needs to be somthing all the forums and truck guys can work on together, John can tell you all ....THIS IS NOT A FOR PROFIT EVENT....lol
If everyone on the forums and all the diffrent brands work together we can really make this big. The reality of it is, We all enjoy our trucks, What we drive is prefrence, but we all have the ability to help each other no matter what truck we drive! A bunch of the PSD guys gave links to DTR at the event, and to there buddies!

Needless to say, Its just alot of work for two folks!

The sponsors are listed below!

Power By Poole
No Limit Off Road
Diesel Dawgs
High Impact off road and diesel performance
L&N Performance parts and service
Mystery Hill
Riverside Log Cabins
CPR Gear Heads
dieselbombers
Sudden Performance

Thanks for the post Lucas! Very well said.

I have said before that without the generosity of the many sponsors both at your event and at all of ours, it would make these events much tougher to put on that's for sure! I like to give credit to the sponsors that help us out, so thanks for posting the sponsors at your event this past weekend and let me say THANKS to all of them!

Looking forward to seeing you and Natalie at our event come October.

Thanks again Lucas!

Keegan, your Brother made me proud up there laying down that 509 H.P.!
Dustin's number was the fourth highest H.P. at that event out of twenty-two
trucks!
