Steering box
I just replaced mine today with a brand new stock part. I called around and could not find any aftermarket steering gear. I talked to the guys at PSC and they have nothing either. I did notice the new stock gear has a newer part number than the original factory gear.
My truck has 18K miles.

The steering gear was on its last leg. It did develop some play, but last week the steering became very stiff and would not return to center. It became much worse very quickly after that and I parked it until today.
The new steering gear is night and day improvement and feels tighter than the original one when it was new. I plan to add the SSSSS steering stabilizer when it arrives shortly. Hopefully, that should help the new gear survive and provide even better steering.

No, dealer would not warranty since I have 35"'s and a lift. I bought the new steering gear and installed it myself. Took about 2 hours taking my time and doing everything by the service manual. I even drained the fluid and re-filled with new ATF+4.
How much did you pick the steering box up for?? And where..
Everyone is keeping thier box adjusted every 10 - 20k right? I know mine felt a little sloppy around 60k and I adjusted it. All was well till about 90k. Now I need to re-adjust it some. Hopefully there is still some left in there. I did a thread or a reply to one on this about a year ago with some good tips on how to adjust it if anyone wants to search my past reply's you'll find it.
