Wink Smarty REVO review**the bad stuff**

Now that I got you here, this is the only bad thing I have found with the new software.

I have to wash my truck every 2-3 days now and I never had to before. It would normally take 2 weeks to accumulate this much soot on my bed sides. It is a small price to pay for the power and smooth throttle response.

Good one!

Are you running the TNT or the TNT/R? I am still running the 411 software and am very reluctant to change, can I add the REVO software and keep my 411 programming?

EDIT: I have the S-04

I still use the MP-8 for pressure. The REVO adds pressure all the time if you set it to, and I like to reserve pressure for racing only. The Edge is going away and gauges installed. I liked the Edge a lot but the REVO is smooth and controllable enough with the throttle that I dont see any need for adjustable settings in a module.

About the TNT... from what I understand, I have the REVO that is not considered the TNT, but more like the 4.11 modified. I have no real idea what it is, it just says ver. 4.13B when I plug in my Smarty. The timing settings are a little goofy, but I think Marco is doing something to that for the final release. On my #4 setting (aftermarket injectors) which is supposed to be less timing, I get rattle even at idle. Very minor issue and setting 2 works the best for me anyway.

WHAT????

Thems fightin' words to me! That came on there when I got the truck new. Ford is a 4 letter f-word to me. You better take that back

Thanks..... now I have to go scrape that off. I develop complexes about that stuff and now every time I look at the 4x4 decal I will remember some guy saying it looks like a Ford.

Even with that big Cummins "C" in the back window I still get asked if it has a Hemi

After reading all the posts, thats pretty much what I gathered also(modified411). I really like the idea of the REVO, could most likely get rid of my EZ, and being able to change tm without downloading new software is also cool.

I really, really, like the tune I have now, when the software is ready for the S-04's, it is going to be hard to download, knowing I may be sacrificing the best software I've had to date.

You raise an excellant question. Is the TNT tune and Revo two different programs? I had a Quad x2 race stacked with the smarty 4.11 wild level 7 and it is more powerful than just running the Revo 4.13 level 9 with wild pressure enabled. Don't get me wrong the Revo is awesomely smooth and I love the ability to change all the settings without reloading the Smarty with different software every time. But at least on my truck it is not as powerful as I thought it might be. I guess I was thinking it would be 230hp gain without pressure and then with some pressure on top of that there would be a huge HP gain. If the Revo and TNT are the same tune I may try going back to 4.11 with the X2 stacked. My truck flat out rocks with that setup and there are a few new corvette owners that have gotten the suprise of their life trying to race me. Tom J.

There is a standard TNT and TNT/R tune that went out....but the newer ones are all REVO....and the standard 170hp programming is also REVO software.
