Any of you guys running this tell if the shift points and tc lockup are changed. I thought I saw a post on this but can't find it.

I don't think so, that's all done mechanically by VBs. It does change the shift characteristics because the engine seems to rev so much faster, turbo spools sooner, etc... I'm only speaking on the 4.3 version. I can't seem to get an answer on the 4.4 changes, maybe Bob or Marco will chime in soon.

 

Thanks, that's what I was thinking too but I know my sc locked up the tc earlier and it shifted better. Hoping to get the best of both with the new software.

 

4.4 is only being tested on 06/07 at this time.

 

From my testing with 4.4, the shifting has improved over previous smarty / stock....to me it appears to delay the shift points to a higher rpm and the lockup is more positive....maybe it's the smoother / longer power band, maybe the shifting logic was changed?? But definately improved! Also, i've really been trying to get it to do the 1-2-1-2 shuffle with light throttle in traffic....my truck does it stock, and did it with previous smarty (although less)...now it doesnt do it....need to test some more, but at this point, i'm actually thinking of not getting the DTT Shift controller i have on order (it's pretty much used to eliminate 1-2-1-2 and flare by raising shift rpm)...
