I wasn't sure either. I figured it read fooled parameters off the MAP and other sensors....but i was wrong. I'll copy and paste what Quad told me.

the Commander gets corrected readings because we have you attach to the signal wire directly on the sensor before it ever gets to any electronics. Doing this allows us to read the actual sensor and not a fooled value. Anything a scan tool reads is off of the OBD2 bus and it spits out what the ECM thinks is happening.

Cool, in that case a "monitor" that hooks up like that should be as good as any manual guage. Will it read boost over 40-42 lbs? I thought that was as high as the sensor would go.

It will go to about 45-46psi on most trucks. I have seen some trucks that are limited to about 42 or so. It does depend on the sensor.

Because of this we are working on a manual attachment that will allow you to hook up a boost line to the Commander so you can read up to about 100psi.

When will this be available? because of my SPS 6280, I see spikes of 54-55psi.

I have a boost gauge still so i'll hold on to it when i get my commander until the manual thing for boost becomes available.

I'm interested in this one to Quad. I am running twins so the main thing holding me back from the Commander is not getting an accurate boost reading up top. Please let us know when you get it ready.
