I just got this and put it on my 04.5. Before I was making about 32 lbs of boost and highest egt's of about 1450. With the fooler I was making about 38 lbs of boost and the highest egt's I saw were around 1150-1200.

All the tests were done while the predator was set on the 100 hp setting. I have returned the truck back to stock settings on the predator and am going to test to see what the egt's and boost are under those conditions on my way to and from work tonight(Darn swing shift)...

Now I just need to get some injectors, lift pump, turbo, tranny, etc....maybe by next spring I will be halfway happy.....

Oh, is there any to quieten down the infectors? Mine are so loud I started out thinking it was a valve ticking...

If you have a tst or other box on your truck how does the boost fooler hook up?

 

The boost fooler connects to the MAP sensor. Some boxes also connect to that sensor and you just piggyback them.....

 

what are the advantages /disadvantages if i was to use this without any box or chip,, thanks

 

advantages would be more boost, smoother running. Not sure of disadvantages.

 

I ran it on stock programming today and the boost was the same as stock, so running the boost fooler on stock I did not see any change...

 

When you push the truck hard you will probably notice a bit more psi which will give lower egts and possibly a bit more power....

 

One thing I noticed when I ran it only pulling my toyhauler up the hills the truck didn't pull well at all. Actually notice egts a bit higher as well. I actually had to pull it off and stay stock. I feel that it like taking a great power set up and only useing a fraction of the hole. It does something but it works better when everything in line. It's like you inprove one thing but the rest needs to bumped up to match the first.
