Ok before I get into what actually happened, this has happened three or four times over the last 6 months, the first three times the check engine light came on. The last time this heppened it was raining and I was sitting in stop and go traffic. I was barely moving about 10 miles per hour just an idle and all of a sudden it was like I mashed the go pedal to the floor for about three seconds. I naturally hit the brakes and just as I started to throw the truck in neutral the RPMs dropped back down to where they were and it did'nt do it again. I did'nt get the check engine light either but I have before when it done the same thing. Before when this has happened I was on an open road in alot less traffic and I was probably traveling between 50 and 65. The RPMs only ramp up for about 3 or 4 seconds and then they fall back off. Has anyone else had this happen to them?

may be an electrical issue with the throttle position sensor or are you maybe hittin the go pedal accidentally? what codes were there when the CEL came on those times? maybe the first 2 were actual truck hicups and the 3rd bein your foot(i know ive done it).
Has you box been on for all of these instances? my quad box did a lil surge every once in a while when there was a bad connection. quad took good care of me(as usual with their GREAT customer service) and all was good......id check the box

My first guess would always be that it has something to do with your Fueling box or DownLoader, whichever one it is....
I've had strange happenings before on my trucks and they never happen when I pull the boxes off......
