Problems!

This morning on the way home from work i had the juice turned on 5 and i stood on it from a stop and it would pull hard to about 2,000 rpms and completely defuel for a second or two and then start pulling again. It has done this multiple times and i have no clue what it could be surely im not running out of fuel since i have the Glacier kit. Could it be TQ management or Rail pressure relief valve bad or what? Please help me get this one figured out before i go on my roadtrip over the holidays i dont want this thing breaking down on me or anything.

EGT's too high? Maybe that's why it's defueling? Just a guess.

is it defueling because of an Attitude setting? did someone mess with your attitude monitor? Check ALL of your defuel settings in the attitude!

1300 egt setting is too low. 1400 egt at wot or at high rpm shift is no big deal. I'm assuming this occurs at high rpm and at shift,... also I didn't check your sig but if you'd put on a tranny lockup controller it would help because you wouldn't get that two or three second lag-like feeling (feels like your truck just went into limbo,..right...) when it is going into od from 3rd. The oem is programmed to defuel the truck, irregardless of your Juice setting at that shift,... at wot, so that would help a bunch because that 2 second laggy shift would be almost instant,... more like your 1st to 2nd shift,... bam!! All that messin' around allows your egts to build and become too high and stay high and eventually will wear your od clutches which are paper thin,... it did on mine.

A Juice took out my oem tranny od clutches in 5k miles so I speak from experience. There are several options out there for a lockup controller,... I use CoPilot from ATS but there is a cheap fix,... run a search for "the definitive lockup controller" or something along those lines by John Rodriguez. He worked out a mod to your factory wiring and incorporated a switch to do what I'm telling you about,... mine does it automatically and doesn't splice the wiring harness but it is an option. You'll find other like options from almost any of the top tranny builders, fyi. Good luck.

well my problem is it does this right in the mid RPM range boost is still around 25-28 egts under 900 and around 2000-2300 it will just completely defuel for a second or two and the start pulling again i have no lockup controller or mystery switch and i do notice a delay between shifts. It is really strange what it is doing. i am going to michigan to HTS trans to meet with dusty after christmas (if this thing doesnt die first) and maybe we can get her hooked up to a scantool and see if i can figure out whats going on but im hoping i can get it fixed before then.

It is your boost setting. I can hit 38psi on level 3. Hitting 40 is pretty easy on level 5. Try setting your boost defuel to 40 and see how it does.

That's exactly what you should do and just chill until Dusty takes a look at it. He'll get you lined out. Good move.

think i may have figured out what it was i think my fuel gelled up the other night in the single digit temperatures and my dumb **** didnt put any additives in. I got on her good on the way home and she didnt cut out any today layed out the smoke taking off hit second chirped the tires and took off. It was about 40 out today that might have been why it was running better. Im gonna go ahead and change my fuel filter anyways just incase.
